This client wanted an additional bed, so it was decided to convert the single bed into a bunk, with an option of a desk, and also to have clear space below the bed for a sofa chair etc to fully utilise this space as well as possible.

We took the existing single bed and made up a sturdy frame raising it up and utilised an old proper solid door as the lower bed support and desk. (love recycling odd's and sod's bits).

This was hinged with a custom latch to allow it to be raised up out of the way, so a sofa chair etc could be placed under the original bed.

The ladder and upper bed guard were custom made to the bed.

All in all it took a day to build.
